The Story
The decision to change your life begins with curiosity, and by clicking through Virgin Raw you have already embarked upon an important path of self-discovery. Health and wellness are the foundations of our lives; how we perceive the world and reach our fullest potential, whether physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Our experience depends upon a healthy balance of each of these facets, and begins with what we put into our bodies, how we nourish our organism.
Virgin Raw is first and foremost the story of two sisters, each with very different life experiences, but who together share a deep passion for health and vitality. Monika and Gosia Kozdrowiecka, six years apart in age, grew up in Poland, but only really developed the deep emotional bond they share today from their time in the U.S.
In Poland, the sisters were raised in the deep European tradition, whereby food is simply a way of life. They spent their time in their forest, fields, garden, and kitchen, understanding the entire process of growing and preparing their own food, from seed to plant to preparation. In those days, supermarkets did not boast imported exotic fruits and vegetables, flown in fresh from the four corners of the world. Rather, diets were developed around local produce where freshness was paramount and everything was organic. And because food was sometimes scarce, they learned the importance of sharing a meal, from preparation to consumption. Food formed a social, communal bond.
Virgin Raw is an extension of this love for food and connection to the land, albeit in a virtual world. By clicking through the products available at Virgin Raw, you are taking a journey with Monika and Gosia; walking through their gardens, their forests, tasting what they have prepared with love and generosity.
In this vein, Virgin Raw is not a business as much as a way of life. Because healthy eating and healthy living are integral parts of Monika and Gosia’s lives, Virgin Raw is “organic” in both senses of the term.
